A New Approach to Ticket Resale
Plans change. Life happens. Sometimes you can't make it to an event you were excited about. You should be able to resell your ticket—and when you do, the people who made the event possible should benefit too.
Today, we're introducing Creator-Shared Resale, a feature that gives creators a meaningful cut every time their tickets change hands.
How It Works
One Simple Fee
When a ticket is resold on Fair Tickets, we charge a single 15% fee on the transaction. That's it—no hidden charges, no service fees, no processing fees stacked on top. Just one transparent number.
Here's how that 15% breaks down:
For a ticket resold at $100, that means $10.50 flows back to the creator and $4.50 keeps the platform running. The seller receives $85.
Why This Matters
On traditional resale platforms, creators get nothing when their tickets are resold. Scalpers pocket the markup, platforms take their cut, and the people who actually made the event happen are left out entirely.
We think that's broken. Creator-Shared Resale fixes it by making every secondary transaction a moment where the creator is rewarded.
Automatic Verification

Why Revenue Sharing?
The secondary ticket market generates billions of dollars a year. Historically, none of that has gone back to the people who create the experiences fans are paying for.
"When a fan resells a ticket at a profit, that profit exists because an artist created something worth seeing. They should share in that value." — Fair Tickets Team
